Today I wanted to talk about a woman who has inspired me, to not only be the best Mary Kay Consultant possible. But has also inspired me to be the best person that I can be. She has thought me what it is to be brave, what it is to get past all conflicts no matter how hard it may be. To know that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. How you can get past any ruff situation that you may have or that you had in the past.She has shown me, how no matter what you have gone through you shouldn't victimize yourself. Instead you should raise your head high and look towards the future. Because no matter what there is always a better future for everyone. She taught me how you can choose the path that you want to live. She went through some horrible situations during her childhood and adulthood. But instead of letting that affect her and ruin her life. She fought against everything and ended becoming a wonderful human being. She has accomplished so many things, and there is so many more things that she will accomplish. Because she has chosen to live a happier life. I hope to one day be able to accomplish all the things that she has accomplish. Not only in my personal life, but also in my Mary Kay career. My First Encounter With Mary Kay

Before becoming a Mary Kay Consultant I never really knew much about Mary Kay. No one that I knew ever talked about it, and I would never see anyone using it. My first encounter with it, was one day when we were at my aunts house, and my aunts daughter came in with a Mary Kay roll up bag. I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever. I just imagined fitting everything in there, all the makeup that I owned (of course back then I didn't have that much makeup). It was really pretty and plus because she had made a big purchase they gave her a little gift. That gift was a small makeup pouch with 4 makeup brushes. It was so cute, I remember just sitting there looking at everything. Then the greatest thing happen, she gave me that small makeup pouch with two of the makeup brushes. Man was I excited to get it, I went home and used the brushes right away. They were so soft and just perfect. To this day I still have that small makeup pouch and those two makeup brushes. Now that I am in Mary Kay I have realized how many people either use Mary Kay or sell Mary Kay. It was really astounding to see all these people that I knew for years. All of a sudden tell me that they sell or use to sell Mary Kay. It really comes to show that when you step out of your bubble you come to realize many things that you didn't before.

My First Order!!!

So today was a very exciting day because I got to put my first order. I got up early and went to my directors place, because since it was going to be my first order she offered to help me do it. Even though it may seem like its not such a big deal. Well for me it was, because I was finally going to be able to get things started. The best part was that I had 15 days to sell $600 worth of product (not including the taxes) and if I did it I was going to receive a certain amount of inventory  So of course I worked really hard and with the help of my cousin Lupita G (which thank you by the way for all of your help and support <3). I was able to accomplish this goal. I am so excited to be able to receive all the things, and be able to give people the things I ordered for them. Plus since I received my business cards already (which I got from Vista Print) I am going to be able to hand them out to everyone. A lot of exciting things are happening, and I cant wait to see how many more of my goals I can soon accomplish.

My First Mary Kay Meeting!!!

Tuesday October 30, I had my very first Mary Kay meeting and it was amazing. I had so much fun and got so inspired by all the woman that where there. It was just a very amazing experience to be surrounded by so many successful people, as well as people who like me hope to someday get far in this business. I got to learn more about the business and got a lot of tips and tricks from everyone there. So apart from being so fun it was also very helpful. The best part was that everyone there is so nice, and supportive of one another. In these meetings one as a consultant can bring people with you, and while your in the meeting your guest can get pampered. They get to learn about Mary Kay, and best of all is that they get to try all the amazing products. So it's not just fun for you but for anyone you bring. For my first meeting my cousin was going to come with me. But in the end she wasn't able to come, so I had to go by myself. I thought it was going to be a little weird since I wasn't going to know anyone. But it wasn't like that at all, everyone at the meeting made me feel at home. Plus my director is so nice and helpful she really made sure that I was comfortable and she answered all of my questions. Overall it was a good day, something I will remember for ever. Plus the best part of it all, and what made it even more special was that I got my official Mary Kay Pin. My very first pin out of all the one's that i hope to get. It was such a special moment when my director gave it to me. I love it and every time I look at my pin it gives me strength to keep on working hard. Even if things seem difficult, that pin shows me that I can do anything I work hard in.
